There are several safety nets in this course to prevent students from progressing without understanding and to provide help when needed:

  1. In every lesson students are encouraged to ask questions in the private comments section of the assignment. I will answer those questions in that same section.
  2. Students who do not answer at least 85% of quiz questions correctly will be provided feedback and asked to correct the quiz. (They will earn half-credit back for every item corrected.) The next module will not be unlocked until the material on the quiz is mastered. Students are encouraged to ask questions in the private comments section of the quiz while they are working through the correction process.
  3. If a student is still struggling after communicating through the private comments section and/or attending a help session, parents may request a one-on-one Zoom help session for a discounted rate of $15 per half hour as long as the student has been consistently active in the course. A student who has not been consistently active in the course will be asked to go back and restart the course at the point where they began struggling as students who are not consistently active in the course may struggle due to large gaps of time causing them to forget the material.
